With an extensive background in modern design and architecture, Ben Moneke leads The Artwork in Southern California and works with clients across the globe. His focus is on creating unique and compelling interior spaces that embody principles of discerning hospitality. Having served as contributing designer for Bahrain international Airport’s Pear Lounge, Ben Moneke is presently working on the Akbar Restaurant and Lounge design project at Kuwait International Airport.

Mr. Moneke’s background extends to a past position as architect and designer with the Chanel fashion house in Paris. Among the aspects of haute couture and Fashion Week events he oversaw was the design and creation of stages and catwalks. Overseeing creative teams of 70 people, he also supervised the design of retail stores in Germany, from sketch and mock-ups to realization. Over the years, retail clients serviced by The Artwork have included Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Prada, and Hermes.

Ben Moneke holds a private pilot’s license and enjoys flying in his free time. Also a skydiving enthusiast, he participates in sports such as soccer when he has the opportunity.
